Fallen:Mast is based on the many uprooted trees near my home due to a major storm with winds reaching 106 miles per hour. Over 3,000 trees fell causing blocked roads, a gasoline shortage, few groceries and no electricity for 10 days. Damage to homes, businesses, and cars was extensive. In an area known for its lovely rolling hills and dense hardwood forests, the storm caused a feeling of great loss, visually and emotionally.
